Cinema Stare is a Connecticut Based pop punk band looking to be perceived as fun, carefree, and not to be taken too seriously, approaching most of their branding with a funny, lighthearted demeanor. The band wasn’t looking to alienate their current hometown audience by losing their original charm, but just wanted to clean up their look a little bit. In meeting with the band, they cited old board game logos as a main source of inspiration, loving the bold chunky fonts, bright color schemes, and fun text treatments that these examples exhibited. I researched by going to my favorite antique shops in the area and came up with some fun, zany logo treatments for the band to use on tour fliers, album covers, and merch.
